Higher Ground is an NYC-Based Christian Ministry For Men Navigating Unwanted Same-Sex Attraction
Higher Ground provides support and fellowship to Christian men seeking to live out a traditional, Biblical, sexual ethic in a world where that feels increasingly more difficult. Higher Ground is not focused on offering a “cure” or “quick fix” to the experience of same-sex attraction, but instead a community and resources to support men as they more deeply engage with Jesus Christ.

Higher Ground is comprised of men united by a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Yet, participants represent diverse histories and experiences: long-term same-sex relationships, the gay party scene, “closeted,” married to women, and sexual curiosity. Everyone’s history is welcome.
A defining strength of our fellowship is the range of personalities, stories, and interests represented. Many newcomers are surprised by the warmth and authenticity of the men they meet. This diversity enriches our community and encourages members to build meaningful friendships within our group and with men in their own lives.
Join Us This Week
Weekly Meetings
Weekly, we meet online or in person to support each other in living out holy sexuality and in developing an identity rooted first and foremost in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We start with a worship song, then read and discuss a devotional prepared by one of the group leaders. For the last portion of the meeting, we split up into breakout groups of 2-3 to share life and pray together.
